Directed by Rahman Seifi-Azad, the film was released to home viewers last week with best film award under belt at the 21st Zanzibar International Film Festival in Tanzania.

Starring popular Iranian actress Mahtab Keramati, ‘Majan’ is a social drama which went on screen for the first time at the Iran Cinema Perspective section of the Fajr Film Festival in its 35th edition in April.

Written by Leila Larijani, the film features Iranian stars such as Keramati, Farhad Aslani, Sima Tirandaz, Babak Ansari, Mohammad-Mehdi Ahadi, Erfan Barzin, Sara Mirani, and Behnoush Bakhtiyari.

‘Majan’, meaning dear mom in some Persian accents, is about a couple who must deal with the challenge of raising their child.
